Anxiety
Evidence-based anxiety therapy for chronic worry, perfectionism, panic, or social anxiety
When Anxiety Takes Over
Anxiety can show up in many forms: relentless worry that won’t turn off, overwhelming stress that leaves you frozen, panic attacks that strike out of nowhere, or physical tension that keeps you from resting or focusing. Sometimes it’s the pressure to be perfect, yet never feeling good enough. Other times it’s a fear of being judged that makes it hard to enjoy relationships or social life.
You may also notice patterns that make anxiety worse over time: avoiding people or places that trigger fear, seeking reassurance only to find the relief never lasts, or relying on quick fixes like substances, work, or distractions—only to find the anxiety waiting when those fade.
If you feel like your world is shrinking, you’re not alone. And importantly: anxiety is treatable.
How Therapy Can Help
Anxiety therapy provides a space to safely face the fears and worries that keep you stuck. Instead of avoiding or trying to control them, we work together to gradually approach what feels overwhelming—helping you discover your own capacity to tolerate discomfort and build confidence in your ability to cope. Over time, this process (called exposure) reduces anxiety’s grip and restores vitality, flexibility, and purpose to your life.
My Approach to Anxiety Treatment
My style is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in research. I draw on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you change your relationship with anxiety and reconnect with your values—the deeper “why” that keeps you motivated through challenging work.
I also integrate mindfulness-based approaches to help you notice anxious thoughts and feelings without being consumed by them, opening space for more intentional choices. I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD, which I incorporate when anxiety shows up in the form of intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors.
Therapy with me is neither standardized nor rigid. We’ll work together to tailor evidence-based strategies to your needs and preferred pace.
